STAR Reach Clubhouse works to improve the quality of life for adults with serious mental illness. Within a safe environment that is filled with
social,
educational,
recreational and
vocational opportunities, we facilitate meaningful work and relationships. Since opening in 1994, STAR Reach Clubhouse has served more than 1,000 Arapahoe and Douglas County individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness.
See the Clubhouse video.
Membership is central to the Clubhouse model. People with severe, persistent mental illness participating in Clubhouse programs are known as
members to reinforce their status as equal, independent and self-sufficient members of the Clubhouse community. Download a
flyer on the Clubhouse. Then, learn about eligibility and how to
join STAR Reach Clubhouse.
Membership is life long, and members are encouraged to volunteer in the management and delivery of support services. STAR Reach Clubhouse is based on the Clubhouse Rehabilitation Model established by Fountain House in New York City more than 50 years ago.
