Meet the Staff

Both the STAR Reach Clubhouse staff and Advisory Council support the mission and vision to empower people with mental illness to achieve success in the community through work, recreation and relationships. Staff members include:

Peter Czolowski, Clubhouse Supervisor
"I started my clubhouse path in 1992, in upstate New York and quickly realized it to be much more than a job and continues to be a special part of my life. For 14 years, Clubhouse members have given me inspiration and have proven to be truly amazing and caring individuals. Since starting at the STAR Reach Clubhouse in February of 2006, I have found STAR Reach to be a warm and welcoming community of people working for our common goal of helping people recover from mental illness. This inspires me to help move our clubhouse forward whenever possible and spread the word that clubhouses have been doing this for 50 years! I believe that at our clubhouse anyone with a sense of hope and the right support can and will succeed. I have also worked at the Fifth Avenue Club in Troy, NY and the Chinook Clubhouse in Boulder, CO."

Deidre Sage
Deirdre was born and raised in the glorious commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Denver in the spring of 2004. Upon graduation, Deirdre thought long and hard about what it was she wanted to do with her life. Soon she found STAR Reach Clubhouse and the wonderful members and staff who worked there. Now Deirdre works with members to discover their strengths, talents and abilities. She enjoys working with members in the unit and also helping members identify what it is they want to do.

Wendy Selman
Wendy was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received her Bachelors Degree in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma and continued her education at The University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she received her Masters in Social Work in 2005. She moved to Colorado in 2007 and began working at STAR Reach Clubhouse. She believes that building meaningful relationships with the members at  the Clubhouse is the key to placing members in successful employment. She loves motivating members to go back to school, work, or get a volunteer job. She also enjoys fundraising for the Clubhouse.
